Anyone who has ever scoured the web for information on the myriad training options on offer in transport and logistics knows just how appealing the idea of a ‘one stop information shop' is. Well, with funding from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council is on the case.
The Transport & Logistics Industry Skills Council has completed a web portal aimed at three key groups: businesses with staff training needs, individuals looking to join the industry with skills that will make them attractive to employers, and existing workers looking to gain new skills. The portal will link users to information about training options and availability, promote career paths and advise employers on how staff training can improve business performance.
