Logistics & Stevedoring update
Current activities regarding development of proposed new qualifications for the Logistics, Furniture Removal and Stevedoring industry sectors, are drawing to a conclusion, and information is being incorporated into the ‘Case for Endorsement' - TLI10 Transport and Logistics Training Package.

Logistics Qualifications
The Logistics Qualification Restructure and Deployment Logistics Project Steering Committee has completed work on the following:
- Restructure of the Certificates I, II, III, IV and Diploma in Logistics
- Development of Diploma and Advanced Diploma Deployment Logistics
- Updating of Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Materiel Logistics in order to ensure that the new Training Package rules relating to increased flexibility are addressed
Furniture Removal Qualification
The proposed new Certificate II in Furniture Removals is designed to support training for new entrants and existing workers, engaging in this industry sector. This qualification is anticipated to become available in the TLI10 Transport and Logistics Training Package after February 2011. Concepts for potential future developments relating to career progression in this industry are being elicited.
Stevedoring Qualifications
The Stevedoring Qualification Restructure Project Steering Committee has completed work on the proposed new Stevedoring qualifications - being: Certificate II, III and IV. These qualifications are aligned to the job roles of:
- Stevedore
- Stevedore Crane Operator, Stevedore Team Leader
- Stevedore Shift Foreperson/Charge Foreperson.
