The Commonwealth Government has released an additional 11,000 places from PPP aimed at upskilling existing workers. Around $40 million has been set aside for this phase of the program and the Skills Council will play an integral part in the application process.
These places are being made available to the following groups:
- Small to Medium Enterprises
- Professional Associations and Industry Bodies
- Enterprise and businesses with multi state operations.
FUNDING MODEL
The financial contribution from government is scaled, dependant on the size of your organisation as seen in the table below:
Enterprise with more than 200 employees:
Gov't - 50% Employer/Association -50%
Enterprise with between 100 and 200 employees:
Gov't - 75% Employer/Association -25%
Enterprise with less than 100 employees:
Gov't - 90% Employer/Association -10%
This initiative is available for enrollment into a full qualification only.
Click here for a copy of the application form. The application is to be filled in by the employer and will be used by the Skills Council for a detailed discussion covering the following topics;
- Benefits to the employer/s
- Review of training plan
- Selection of RTO
- Skills needs being addressed
The qualifications eligible for this initiative range from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level. Priority will be given to qualifications that appear on the Priority Occupations PPP list.
