Research in T&L
As part of its broadened Skills Council role, TLISC will undertake a range of collaborative research activities over the next 12 months. These activities are designed to maximize our capacity to provide targeted advice to Government and other stakeholders across a range of areas related to skills and workforce planning for the entire Transport and Logistics sector.
For more information about individual projects click below:
- Transport & Logistics Environmental Scan
- Do school based VET pathways work in Transport and Logistics?
- Issues in occupational mobility between Defence and Civilian Transport and Logistics roles.
- How viable is flexible delivery of training in the Transport and Logistics sector?
We will also undertake additional research where new priorities arise.
TLISC has established the Transport Research Education Consortium (TREC). The purpose of TREC is to:
- provide government with a centralised capability for transport education research
- establish a forum through which members can work collaboratively on the design, development and production of targeted research
- identify sources or opportunities for collaborative research
- support increased participation by the T&L industry in research through establishing connections between TREC members and TLISC stakeholders
- provide feedback and support regarding TLISC research
- assist TLISC to determine its research priorities
